If you were hoping to accomplish the same feat as this Explore Metro guy and go through every single stop of the Harbin metro (he did it in Shanghai in 10 hours, 14 minutes and 42 seconds), you'll have to think again.
Not that it's undoable, for it is rumored to be a metro in Harbin.
But you'll have to wait a while. Or go underground at your own risks. Because apparently, according to the Subways site, no one knows where exactly the metro is.
Here's what they have to say about it: "Harbin (formerly known as Ping Kiang) has a 5.4 mile metro. No one who has lived in Harbin who I've spoken with appears to know of it's existence. [emphasis added]"
Even weirder, apparently, still according to the site, the line(s?) will be based on the "original 7381 civil air-defense project". Huh? What's that supposed to mean?
Guess we'll see when we get there!
